  • Kenneth Kaiser, P.E., Ph.D.

Ken’s passion for electrical engineering began in high school with his involvement in amateur radio. While obtaining a solid theoretical background in a number of fields in electrical engineering at Purdue University, he obtained additional inspiration and practical experience working at several nonacademic positions, including Bell Laboratories, the U.S. Govt, and Terronics Development Corporation. For over 30 years he taught at GMI Engineering & Management Institute (currently Kettering University) reaching the position of Full Professor, consulting in EMC, and writing several books including the comprehensive Electromagnetic Compatibility Handbook, CRC Press. He is a registered professional engineer, P.E., in the state of Michigan and has both Extra Class Amateur Radio and Commercial Radio Telephone licenses.

  • Brian Shortridge

Brian’ s interest in electrical engineering started in high school studying electronics and then continued while in the US Navy. After his military service, Brian attended the University of Michigan, obtaining degrees in both electrical and computer engineering. After college he worked for the Robert Bosch Corporation for over 22 years becoming a technical specialist, developing and running their North American EMC laboratory, automating many of the tests, and guiding the development of more than 33 industry EMC experts.
